The Garden Director is one of the key members in Health in the Hood's leadership team. The Garden Director is responsible for the supervision of all of the Health in the Hood gardens. The Garden Director role consists of overseeing the Garden Managers, ensuring gardens are producing to their fullest potential, verifying that HITH standards are maintained in all of the gardens, overseeing volunteer day activities, supply procurement and more. A successful Health in the Hood Garden Director is a creative thinker and a problem solver who is invested in thinking of ways to improve and expand the impact of our garden network.

The Program Assistant works closely with the Program Director to oversee and manage the various initiatives aimed at improving community health and well-being by planning and executing various programs related to food distribution, wellness initiatives, and urban gardens. A successful Health in the Hood Program Assistant is a creative thinker and problem solver who can handle a variety of moving details during a day and is motivated to put effort into learning and adapting to Health in the Hood’s specific needs.
