The Program Director is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of all Health in the Hood programs. The Program Director’s main focus is ensuring that all employees and programs have the tools, support, and direction they need in order to operate successfully. In addition to overseeing all employees and programs, the Program Director will be the liaison between the Health in the Hood executive team and our community partners and volunteer groups, perform various administrative tasks, and work on developing new programs for our wellness education curriculum. A successful Health in the Hood Program Director needs to have a strategic mindset and the ability to lead and develop their subordinates. They can multitask with ease, problem-solve effectively, and communicate both written and verbally. They are dedicated to improving operational functions in order to impact and serve the Health in the Hood community. The goal is to ensure that every program will be delivered successfully and bring the highest possible value to the organization. Candidates should feel comfortable in both office and community settings.
The Program Manager is responsible for supporting the administrative staff members in running the various Health in the Hood programs. The Program Manager role consists of various administrative tasks, executing Health in the Hood food distribution operations, maintaining social media platforms, and managing urban gardening, nutrition, and wellness programs for community members. A successful Health in the Hood Program Manager is quick thinking and acting, able to adapt to various environments, a problem solver, and interested in growing with the organization. Candidates should feel comfortable in both office and community settings.
